That's a little harsh, the Gwen costume last year was excellent.
Although I'm not a huge fan of giving 1st prize to whoever can play dress up the best, at least it makes sense for Halloween.. Christmas, not so much.
Congratulations to all the winners (with the exception of the possible art thief!)

congrats to all the winners and HMs this year, thanks for the kindness about my Jora costume!
Believe it or not, making a costume does require equal effort, time and frustration as illustration. I also use a lot of the same techniques when making a costume as I do when I'm drawing, although I admit there's a bit more math (for me) to a costume. The Gwen costume last year was fantastic, and she deserved her win fully. I know for a fact that she made everything from scratch, and making something like Gwen's costume is very, very difficult. I know people in the industry who couldn't pull that off.
But yeah, do as Charlie says and follow the link to our Workshop for more art. I'll be setting up a Workshop for Wintersday too, which you'll all be welcome to join, and all of Nolani's best artists and critics are there to help you create an amazing entry. If you don't win the official contest, there are always a large prize pool for you to take a shot at here on Guru.

As usual, if your not wearing a Costume, you wont win. Best submission was the Mad Kings Gaurd, and that was more due to the fly ass girl standing beside it. Im guessing the Christmas winner will be dressed like an Elf and clean up. (In all seriousness, the Titan one was amazing. I would probably pay to have that model in my front yard.)

Oh how sweet, a random person just PMd me in-game and told me how much he liked my entry. Now that makes me feel better.
Btw I didn't win ( ), but congrats to the winners, and Tzu, like I told you before, your costume is amazing!
Here's the link to my entry if anyone wants to check it out: http://artzone.daz3d.com/azfiles/gal...yuyf5-full.jpg
Oh well, wintersday, here I come ^_^
I'd just like to say thanks to my husband, his opinion matters the most to me. <3

Hah.. well, my mind is a little blown.. I also entered a halloween siege turtle. But with a working cannon. But I guess A.net didn't like it as much as the one they chose. Very bummed out!

Just remember, we can pretty much assume that Spanish guy's going to get his award stripped, so that leaves one more spot... and we have no idea who almost made it in the judging. So those of us who entered still have one chance.
